Ballina tractor run supports Alzheimer Society

The organisers of the Patrick McKeogh Memorial Tractor run are happy to announce that €10,000 was raised at the 2024 tractor run for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

A presentation was made recently in Ballina to the society.

So far, the Patrick McKeogh Memorial Tractor Run has raised €36,500 for charities since it began. We would very much like to thank everyone who supports us every year - from the 160 tractors that turned up last year to all the local people who gathered at the GAA field to support us.

We want to thank the 99% of local businesses that support us every year with sponsorship and to all the volunteers that help out with traffic management on the day, and also to the local guards, who are very helpful. We want to thank the local GAA for the use of the car park and Mckeogh’s, Ballina, for the parking after the run.

Thanks also to John Ryan of Liam Ó Rian's bar for holding the auction on the night. Thanks to Larkins Gala for supplying the food after the run; to Sean Ryan and Dairygold, our main sponsor each year, and a big thank you to McHales, Birdhill, who were very generous last year with sponsorship, and also Mike and Christy McGrath and John McKeogh.

We’re already looking forward to this year’s event, which will be on Sunday, December 14, with a brand new and exciting route being planned. If anyone wants to offer their support to the run, don’t hesitate to contact one of the team. Thanks to everyone again.
