A night of stunning music

Nenagh Arts Centre hosts event on June 28

On June 28, Nenagh Arts Centre will host an unforgettable evening of music as four exceptional singer-songwriters - Graceless (featuring Nenagh's Grace Tooher), Luke Clerkin (from Tallaght), Roscrea's Jack Keeshan, and Jimmy Tooher (brother of Grace) - come together for a night of heartfelt songs and powerful storytelling.

Each artist brings their own unique voice and style to the stage, blending elements of folk, indie, and acoustic pop to create an intimate and moving experience for the audience. From reflective lyrics to soaring melodies, this is a rare chance to witness some of Ireland’s finest emerging talents share their stories in a warm, welcoming setting.

Talking about putting the night together, Luke Clerkin said: ‘This night is going to be one to remember! Right now, we’re on the precipice of an Irish music renaissance where Irish bands and songwriters are becoming known on a global level. This will be a showcase of what’s to come next, and I can’t think of anywhere better to do that than Shane MacGowan’s ‘real home’ of Nenagh. My childhood is full of amazing memories of visiting my family's hometown, and I’m so excited to make new memories with these amazing songwriters and storytellers!”

Jimmy Tooher added: “People of Nenagh love their music and have seen great artists down through the years grace the town and the arts centre has become a real social and cultural hub that encourages and helps local and out of town artists alike.”

This night will also serve as a hometown return for Graceless off the back of their new single ‘God’s Plan’. Graceless singer, Grace Tooher, explained: “Coming home to play my first original gig in Nenagh under Graceless feels full circle. This is where it all began: school bands, college gigs, and writing songs with my brother James. To return with my own project and to play at a venue like the Nenagh Arts Centre means a lot. I recorded my debut EP here with Owen Geaney at Atlas White Studios at the end of 2024, so it feels right to mark that back where it started. My second single, God’s Plan, drops the night before the show, so it’s more than just a gig. It’s a bit of a homegrown launch.”
