Entries now open for 2025 Nose of Tralee Pet Competition

Ireland’s most beloved pet competition is back! The Nose of Tralee, now in its 12th year, is officially open for entries, inviting proud pet owners from all 32 counties to showcase their furry, feathered, and even scaly companions.

The Nose of Tralee celebrates pets of all shapes, sizes, and species - from cats and dogs to rabbits, lizzards, ponies, parrots, and more.

This heartwarming annual tradition brings pet lovers together to share the charm, uniqueness, and personality of their cherished pets.

To enter, pet owners simply upload a photo of their pet and explain why their pet deserves to be crowned the 2025 Nose of Tralee. After a public vote and review by a judging panel, 32 finalists will be selected to represent each county in Ireland. The overall winner will be announced following a final public vote later this summer.

Kate McQuillan, founder of the Nose of Tralee and owner of Pet Sitters Ireland, shared her excitement about the return of the competition.

“We’re thrilled to be back for the 12th year of the Nose of Tralee. Every year, we’re blown away by the stories, the photos, and the passion people have for their pets. This competition isn’t just about the cutest face - it’s about celebrating the bond we share with our pets. Whether you have a dog, cat, hamster, or hen, we welcome pets from every corner of Ireland to get involved and represent their county.”

Entries are now open at www.petsittersireland.com/nose-2025/ and will remain open until midnight on June 15.

Finalists and winners will receive fantastic prizes from a host of Irish competition sponsors, including Pet Sitters Ireland and David MCauley Photography.
