Glorious parkrun in Borrisokane

Volnteers thanked for their important role

Another glorious parkrun morning as our last event of May. We welcomed visitors from Cork, Edinburgh and Poland as runners started in the sunshine. Unfortunately, the rain came down for a few minutes, but it didn’t dampen spirits at all.

Our first finisher was local girl Roisin Kelly, who is stilL in the U14s category, fantastic run-ning.

We had a number of first timers (five in total) including Donal Fallon from Cork, who also volunteered as parkwalker for the day, an important role keeping walkers motivated and offering support on the course.

Four participants also set new Personal Best times, keep improving, great results.

Thank you to all volunteers, not just this weekend, but every weekend, parkrun cannot hap-pen without you.
