AIMS nominations for NCS!
As the curtain falls on the 2024/25 season, Nenagh Choral Society and NCS Youth Academy are thrilled with the amazing news of a whopping four nominations from the Association of Irish Musical Socieities (AIMS) nominations announced on Saturday, May 17.
NCSYA received a nomination for ‘Best Visual’. Stephanie Browne was nominated for ‘Best Director’ for her amazing vision and incredible work on the production of ‘Shrek, the Musical’ last October.
Adam Skeffington received the ‘Best Actor’ nomination, with Ailbhe Lohan as ‘Best Female Singer’ for their roles as Eddie and Rita O'Grady in our '’Made In Dagenham’ production last March. Both Adam and Ailbhe gave outstanding performances and it is extraordinary to get this acknowledgement at a national level.
It is an incredible achievement for NCS and NCSYA to receive two nominations each at such a level. We would like to thank our production teams, casts, stage crews, make-up teams, costumes, front of house teams and everyone that was involved in any way for their contribution to both shows. We also like to express our gratitude to our sponsors and patrons, without whose support and attendance we could not produce two shows each year.
The AIMS Awards will be held on Saturday, June 14, in Killarney, where a group from NCS will attend to represent. We wish everyone the very best of luck - what an achievement!
