Cashel trainer Una Corcoran sent out the four-year-old Caman Hill to win the concluding bumper at Ballinrobe.
A second winner in three days for Pa King, the well-supported 12/1 shot led off the home turn and raced clear to win by an easy nine lengths from the Harry Kelly-trained Moments Away.
Paddy Twomey shared two winners with Billy Lee who notched up his second treble in the space of a week at Tipperary on Tuesday.
The pair were on the mark with the Rogues Gallery Partnership-owned Rogue Legend in the five-furlong conditions’ race for two-year-olds. The 4/5 favourite made most of the running and skipped clear inside the final furlong to win by three and a quarter lengths from the Ger Lyons-trained Howd’ydoit.
At odds of 7/2, the three-year-old Pharos Freedom gave Twomey his second win in the 12-furlong maiden. She readily accounted for Noel Meade’s Ardashir by a length and three-parts for owner Vimal Khosla. In between those winners, Lee had taken the five-furlong maiden on Willie McCreery’s 9/4 chance Shoney.
Denis Hogan and Joey Sheridan took the five-furlong handicap with the Mary Hogan and Michael O’Brien-owned Sarahmae. A strong 5/2 favourite, she added to her course and distance success of last month with a comfortable two and three-parts of a length victory over Edward Lynam’s Beano Power.
The smart Sunchart landed his second jumping success when winning the two-mile one-furlong rated hurdle for trainer Andy Slattery at Wexford on Wednesday. A strong 7/4 favourite, he led under amateur Adam Ryan turning for home and stayed on strongly to beat Paul Nolan’s Farfromnowhere by four and quarter lengths for owner Pat Garvey.
Owned in partnership by Seamus Perry and Bernadette Leigh, the Peter Fahey-trained Avalo won the two and a half-mile maiden hurdle under Jake Coen. A 7/2 chance, he led before the second-last hurdle and had any amount in hand in beating Conor O’Dwyer’s outsider Kalaroun by six lengths.
Orla Tynan partnered her first winner when taking the 10-furlong apprentice on the four-year-old Solomon Coop, owned and trained by her grandfather Matty, at Fairyhouse on Thursday. The 18-year-old, apprenticed to Andy Slattery, had the 33/1 chance in front over a furlong from the finish to win by two and a quarter lengths from Pat Magee’s Si Senior.
Gavin Ryan had earlier landed the opening six-furlong optional claiming race on the Mark Fahey-trained four-year-old I Bid You Ajou. Owned by the Pabiroco Syndicate, the 4/1 chance led before the straight and came home a one and a quarter length winner from Denis Hogan’s Nezeeh.
Ben Coen rode the final winner of the session when taking the 10-furlong handicap for three-year-olds on Johnny Murtagh’s Fantazy Man. The 9/2 chance led passing the two-furlong pole and had loads in hand in beating the Willie McCreery-trained Edergole’s Angel by four and three-parts of a length.
Harry Kelly and Cian Quirke won the two and three-quarter-mile handicap hurdle with the nine-year-old Kiln Time at Limerick on Thursday. Owned by John Bowe, the 5/1 chance came from off the pace to lead at the final hurdle and was well on top in beating the Philip Fenton-trained Southgate Avenue by a length and three-parts.
Adam Ryan rode his second winner of the week when landing the mares’ bumper on the Peter Fahey-trained 12/1 chance Atomic Queen. A second success in two days for the trainer, the Straffan Racing Partnership-owned six-year-old quickened clear from the furlong-pole to win by three and three-parts of a length from the Emmet Mullins-trained Barra Rua.
Nathan Crosse and Curragh trainer Willie McCreery scored a narrow success as the 4/1 chance Navy Waters won the 10-furlong maiden at Down Royal on Friday. Owned and bred by Miceal Sammon, the four-year-old led on the line to pip the Matthew Smith-trained First Ascent by a nose.
At Tramore on Friday, Sam Curling took the two and three-quarter-mile mares’ maiden hurdle with the five-year-old Derryville to complete a double for Phillip Enright. The John Hogan-owned 7/4 favourite wasn’t all the fluent but led at the final hurdle before pulling clear to win by three and three-parts of a length from Willie Mullins’ Sugar Cookie. The Kerry jockey had earlier won on the Tom Hughes-trained Aussie Warrior.
Adam Ryan made it three winners in the week when partnering the Jonathan Sweeney-trained Early Bird to take the concluding mares’ bumper for her owner/breeder Michael Lucy. An 11/8 favourite, the six-year-old led a furlong out to beat the Gordon Elliott-trained Crossbar Getaway by four and a half lengths.
David Marnane and Luke McAteer were first off the mark at Listowel on Sunday where Gavoo won the two-year-old median sires series maiden. Owned by the A Touch Of Leather Syndicate, the 7/2 shot led inside the final furlong to beat Michael O'Callaghan’s favourite Fresh Fade by three-parts of a length.
Ben Coen gave Kildare-based trainer Daniel McLoughlin his fourth winner and his first two-year-old success when the 15/2 chance Magny Cours won the six-furlong fillies’ maiden. He raced up with the pace and battled well from the furlong-pole to score by a head from the Michael O'Callaghan-trained Luna Mia by a head.
Joe Murphy and Gary Carroll landed the handicap over the same distance with the four-year-old White Clover. A 6/1 shot, she led a furlong out to beat Stephen Thorne’s favourite Never Shout Never by half a length.
Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee took the eight-furlong conditions’ race with the three-year-old Admiral Churchill. A 13/8 chance, he added to a recent Limerick maiden success when beating the Joseph O'Brien-trained favourite Nobler by three and a quarter lengths.
Brendan Walsh recorded his first winner on the Flat when the four-year-old Liamo took the seven-furlong handicap at Listowel on Sunday. Ridden by Wayne Hassett, the 12/1 chance gave his rivals a head start when breaking slowly from the stalls but he came through to lead close to the finish to score by three-parts of a length from Michael Mulvany’s Dinamine.
