Minister's visit to Nenagh
Tipp TD organises local meetings
The Fianna Fáil Minister for Children and Disability, Norma Foley, visited Nenagh on Thursday, May 22, at the invitation of local TD, Ryan O’Meara. Minister Foley met with several local organisations under her remit as Minister for Children and Disability, including Ladybirds Pre-School and Childcare, The A-Team Youth Club, Enable Ireland, and Silver Arch Family Resource Centre.
Speaking following a number of successful local engagements with Minister Foley, Deputy O’Meara said: “I was delighted to invite the Minister for Children and Disability, Norma Foley, to Nenagh last Thursday for a series of important engagements in her capacity as a Fianna Fáil member of Cabinet.
“As part of her visit, Minister Foley met with several outstanding local organisations, including visits to Ladybirds Pre-School and Childcare and Enable Ireland, where she saw first-hand the incredible work being done to support children, families, and people with disabilities in our community. I was also very pleased to organise for the minister to meet with the A-Team Youth Club and Silver Arch Family Resource Centre, both of which are making a real difference in the lives of young people and families across North Tipperary.
“I was proud to organise each of these meetings, which were all highly successful.
“They offered valuable opportunities for the minister to hear directly from service providers and community leaders about the supports that matter most.
“We also took time to discuss some very exciting plans for the future of Nenagh and the wider North Tipperary area- plans that have the potential to deliver lasting benefits to our region.
“I want to sincerely thank Minister Foley for her time, her engagement, and her strong commitment to children, disability services, and community development. Finally, I would also like to thank each of the groups for making the time for these important engagements.
“I am committed to delivering for the people I represent, and organising these meetings and visits this week allowed local people, businesses and organisations the opportunity to have their voices heard.”
