Pensioner pushed into river in Tipp

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident of assault that took place in the Blueway Walk area of Clonmel, on Wednesday, May 7, at approximately 7:30 pm.

A man pushed another man, aged in his 70s, into water. The male in his 70s received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them. Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen a young male wearing a green T-shirt who then left the area in a dark coloured sulky. Persons with mobile phone or dash-cam footage are also asked to make that footage available to investigating Gardaí.
