A great day was had by all recently when the brand new Fairy Village was officially opened in the magnificent surroundings of Templemore Town Park.

The project was a real community effort with involvement from the local schools and students, Tipperary County Council, Templemore Community Development Association, Templemore Credit Union, the Park Ladies and Templemore Lions Club. A large crowd assembled in the yard of the Pitch and Putt course where Martin Grey had a fine display on his big screen. Various speakers outlined the huge volume of work that had gone into the project before all proceeded to the Fairy Village for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. It was back to the Pitch and Putt clubhouse afterwards for some welcome refreshments.

The Fairy Village is a most welcome addition to the Town Park and will be enjoyed by all the children. Well done to all involved in the project, who can be very proud of their efforts. We ask all to mind and protect our Fairy Village so it can be enjoyed by all.
