Busy times for walking group

With the fantastic weather we are having recently it been a great opportunity to get some great hikes done. We had a very well attended walk last week around The Silver River Loop in the Slieve Blooms where the group had fantastic views across the Offaly landscape while watching the sun set. A perfect night for walking with sunshine all the way around. Well done to everyone that made the effort. We have a packed 2025 ahead with several trips overseas and a lot of challenge walks over the coming months.

Our walk this Thursday night, May 15, sees the club heading to a walk we haven't done in quite a while, the Mass Rock loop in The Slieve Blooms. Distance 6.5km, Grade Easy/Moderate, Time 1.5 hours. Meeting at The Mass Rock Trail Head at 7.30pm.

Well done to the club members that took part in the latest section of The Barrow Way from Magney Bridge to Milford Bridge, a distance of 16km and done in under 4 hours. We would encourage anyone thinking of taking up hiking for better health or as a way to destress to please make contact with the number below.
