Dromineer harbour plan withdrawn
Waterways Ireland has withdrawn its plan to install a new floating jetty in Dromineer.
The waterways management and development body had sought planning permission for a jetty with five new finger pontoons along with an adjoining new end jetty in the inner harbour.
But in correspondence with Tipperary Co Council last month, Waterways Ireland advised that it was withdrawing the application pending further review.
"Waterways Ireland has reviewed the details of the planning submission made, observations made, submissions received, and has consulted with some interested third parties," the council was informed.
"Waterways Ireland has concluded that further review of the design and details of potential improvements to both the on-water and on-land facilities at Dromineer Harbour is required before submitting a planning application."
