Killaloe Coast Guard called out
Killaloe Coast Guard unit was tasked on Wednesday last at 9pm to assist the National Ambulance Service in attending to an injured person on a mountain bike trail 1km up the Ballycuggaran track towards Moylussa.
The paramedics on scene stabilised the person while a Coast Guard team prepared to stretcher the causality down the mountain bike trail. The casuality was transferred to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
Killaloe Coast Guard would like to remind all walkers and mountain bikers that its units are on hand to assist in search and rescue on land and water. If in trouble, you may call 999/112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
