May exhibitions at Nenagh Library
Nenagh Library is the place to visit during the month of May for a whole host of reasons, not least of which sees the welcome return of two very talented local artists.
Frances Hynes has been attending weekly art classes with the artist Richard Williams in Nenagh for some time now, working mainly in oils and acrylic paints. Recreating landscapes and seascapes, using local landmarks and places of interest as her subject matter, her latest exhibition, ‘A Moment in Time’, will be launched in the library on Tuesday, May 6, at 6.15pm and all are welcome.
Also exhibiting with us next month will be Dromineer-based artist, Marina Postir. A talented artist, this time Marina is focusing on the ancient craft of lace making. Her exhibition, though small, will showcase examples of this wonderfully delicate and intricate craft of lace making around the world.
Marina also plans to give a talk and demonstration of lacemaking during the month.
