Go-ahead for Birdhill EV hub

Applegreen Electric IRL Service Areas Ltd has received conditional planning permission for a high-power electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at its Birdhill facility.

The plan consists of the installation of eight EV bays and four charging points, powered by 100% renewable energy. Tipperary Co Council has also granted permission for the installation of a new canopy with associated illuminated signage, along with a new modular ESB substation, landscape renewal and revised parking bay markings.
