Aggravated burglary and criminal damage by fire

The Garda investigation into an incident of aggravated burglary and criminal damage by fire that occurred in Clonmel, on March 18 is continuing.

During the course of follow-on searches on Thursday, in the Cashel and Carrick-On-Suir area, an additional five males were arrested and detained on suspicion of serious offences.

Two of these males have since been charged, and have appeared before Cashel District Court.

The remaining three males, arrested on Thursday are scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court this Friday.

Twelve people in total have now been arrested during the course of this operation, and nine have been brought before the courts..

Investigations are ongoing.
