Exhibition in Roscrea Library results in boost for hospice
Theresa Fogarty (née Higgins) from Boulabane, Roscrea, recently organised an art exhibition and presented all the donations from the event - €2,000 - to North Tipperary Hospice Movement.
Theresa spent much of her free time ino organising a wonderful exhibition in Roscrea Library, and it proved to be a showcase with a difference.
All the artists from the Nenagh, Roscrea and Templemore areas donated their art work to be show at the event that resulted in the princely sum of money for the hospice.
Many of the pieces of art came from the Art Therapy group in Suaimhneas and the age friendly art group from community artists who were very pleased to be able to support this worthy cause.
Theresa would like to pay special tribute to her family who were so supportive and encouraged and helped to put this wonderful exhibition together. She also wishes to thank Roscrea Library staff for their help in organising the event, all the local artists who donated their work to the exhibition, and members of the public who attended the exhibition and purchased pieces of art.
Theresa recently presented a cheque for €2,000 to Eileen Kennedy and Helen Walshe of North Tipperary Hospice Movement. Eileen Kennedy would like to extend a sincere ‘thank you’ to Theresa for her wonderful gesture of organising this event and for donating so much money to the organisation.
North Tipperary Hospice operate two cancer care centres, Suaimhneas in Nenagh and Suir Haven in Thurles.
