Urgent appeal to give blood

An alert has been issued to all Irish hospitals due to low blood stocks.

If the situation escalates to an amber alert, it will immediately impact hospitals and elective surgeries requiring blood support.

Because of this the Irish Blood Transfusion Service are putting on extra blood donation clinics

To help maintain their blood, they’ve organised a blood donation clinic at The Dome, Semple Stadium next Sunday, July 14, from 11.50am to 3.10pm, and on Monday, July 15, from 4.50– 8.10pm. Phone 1800 222 111 for appointment. Existing donors have the additional option of booking online.
