Nenagh to the fore on James’ new single

‘Dublin Road and Ball Alley Lane' is the opening line of the new single from James McGrath.

Though recorded in Clearwater, Florida, ‘Hold On’ demonstrates that the Nenagh theme is still strong in James’ music. He was erstwhile based in Florida to work on the new single with the fantastic Peter Klett, lead guitar player with Candlebox, a big grunge band from the 1990s.

‘Hold On’ is the first single for James to release under new US record label Shamrock Records, with whom he recently released his latest EP, ‘Cowboys & Neon Lights’, which was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.

“It's a song I wrote when I was in a very dark place and talks about some heavy topics and the mere struggle of simply making it through the day,” James said of his new single. “Thankfully, I did and I hope that as topically heavy as the song is, it helps others who are in that place.”

‘Hold On’ has a music video to go with it that was shot in Orlando. The track will be available to download on all major platforms. Visit James’ Facebook page for further information.
