Tipperary Minor Footballers set for championship bow

The Tipperary minor footballers enter the fray next Tuesday evening when they host Limerick in the opening round of the Munster Championship.

Similar to the under 20 championship, Tipperary join Clare, Limerick, and Waterford in a round-robin phase 1 with the top two teams progressing to a final in late April as well as Munster semi-finals with Cork and Kerry.

Following their home game with Limerick, Tipperary are away for their remaining phase 1 games, against Waterford in Lemybrien on April 9th and Clare in Quilty on April 16th.

First year joint-managers Shane Hennessy and Michael Donnellan have selected a 38-player panel which contains just five survivors from last years panel that reached the second phase but exited to Cork at the semi-final stage with Tom Corcoran, Cillian Healy, Ronan Myles, Gavin Neville and Charlie Walsh providing the experience.
