Tipperary, Limerick & Clare clubs to face off in James McKeogh Tournament

Ballina GAA club will be hosting the 2024 James McKeogh Tournament this Saturday, 2nd March.

The competition brings pits the Shannonside club against their close neighbours over the Clare border, Ogonelloe, and Limerick Premier Intermediate champions Dromin-Athlacca.

They will battle it out in forty-minute games with each team playing each other once. With a win earning two points and a draw earning one, the winning will be decided by whoever has the most points after the three games.

The first game throws in at 1.00pm as Ogonelloe face Dromin-Athlacca. The Limerick men will return to the pitch at 2:15pm to play hosts, Ballina. The day of matches will then be finished at 3:30pm when the Clare outfit duel the Tipperary.

The tournament in held in honour of James McKeogh who tragically passed away after a car accident in 2010. This is the first time that the event will be held since 2019 where the hosts defeated Clonakenny.
