Nenagh family supports the hospice
Christmas lights raised over €3,000
The Ahern family of Nenagh would like to warmly thank all who supported their 2023 Christmas lights fundraiser, which raised more than €3,000 for North Tipperary Hospice.
The funds were raised through contributions from local businesses and donations left at the Ahern home in Yewston estate, Nenagh. The family have for many years decorated their home with a captivating array of lights at Christmas, and they invite those who come to see the lights to leave a donation for the hospice.
Pat and Patricia Ahern were happy to report that, despite the bad weather last Christmas, people came every day to look at the lights and leave a contribution.
A cheque for €3,015 was presented to the hospice last week, and Patricia said another donation of €100 was made over the weekend.
She took the opportunity to thank everyone who supported the most recent fundraiser, and in particular the following local businesses: Collins Bakery, Ryans Pharmacy, Clare Street Pharmacy, JKC's, DK Travel, The Hibernian Inn, The Thatched Cottage, Hanly's Woolen Mills, Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Ryans Florists, A Sportsman's Dream, Mannings and Philip Mulqueen.
Thanks also to The Nenagh Guardian, Tipp FM and Parish Newsletter for promoting the event, and to Santa, Philly Ryan, Caitlinn, Una Smyth, Jemmy, Diarmuid Quirke, Ben and Marie Wallace, Kevin Liston, Nenagh Brass Band, and all the Aherns' friends, neighbours and family for helping with the launch of their fundraiser last December.
