Gardaí are seeking information from the public on break-ins to property in Nenagh, Roscrea, Ballina and Killaloe.

Gardaí investigating burglaries in North Tipperary

A number of recent burglaries that took place in the district are now being investigated by gardaí who are seeking information from the public on the crimes.

Two houses were burgled on February 2, one at Dromin Road, Nenagh, and the other at Golden Grove, Roscrea.

On the same date a business premises on Main Street, Ballina, was entered at around 3.30am. A number of individuals caused damage to the property. Across the bridge in Killaloe another break-in occurred to a business property and a number of items were stolen. Gardaí believe the same culprits were involved in both cases.

Damage was caused to a business premises in Lisboney following an entry on January 31, but nothing was taken. Gardaí are investigating a criminal damage incident in the Silvermines area where eggs were thrown at a house on January 30 last at around 10pm. Gardaí in Newport are probing the theft of a car in the locality on February 2. The car was later recovered in Castletroy.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant over the past week, one in Moneygall and the other in Nenagh.
