Public greenway consultations

Public consultations will commence in the coming weeks on the Limerick to Scariff Greenway, which will link Limerick City to Scariff via Clonlara, O’Briensbridge, Killaloe, Ogonnelloe and Tuamgraney.

East Clare Councillor, Pat Burke, has stated that consultation is vital as there is some degree of unease at the possibility of the greenway running through farmland.

Waterways Ireland has confirmed that a preferred route corridor report is in the final draft stage and once public consultation has concluded, the project will progress to detailed design approvals and delivery.
