Big step forward for A Team’s project

The Nenagh A Team, the youth club for 150 autistic children and young people in the Nenagh area, and Ballycommon Sponsored Ride would like to sincerely thank all those who supported the fundraising concert ‘An Evening with Donal Lunny and friends and featuring the In Tune for Life Orchestra’, which was held in St Mary of the Rosary Church last September.

“Due to the incredible support of the community, and all our wonderful sponsors, the event raised €28,879 which is going to the fund to source the A Team’s own building, which the children and young people of Nenagh really need,” said Ailish Cleary, on behalf of A Team committee and members.

The contribution of the local In Tune for Life Orchestra, led by Ned Kelly, made the event very special for all those present on the night.

The main sponsors of the event were Carey Glass of Nenagh, who have been very generous supporters of the A Team, which runs a wide range of activities every week for autistic children and young people, and provides much needed support for their parents, all on a voluntary basis.

The committee also thanks Ronaynes of Thurles, ABP in Nenagh, BCD Energy and the Forthmoy Group for their generosity and support, as well as The Well, Central Auctions, Arrabawn, Nenagh Credit Union, Mulrooney’s, Conack and Fred Hollywood.

Other supporters of the event were: Pure Electrical, BHE, Dr Paul O’Farrell, Dr Muiris O’Keeffe, Dr Pat Harrold, Ryan’s Pharmacy, Ray Walsh Pharmacy, Ger Gavin’s, Mincon International, Kelly’s of Fantane, Richie Burke Kitchens, Mack Engineering, Quigleys, The Smart Group, Nenagh Dental, Mari Mina Pharmacy and Tippo.

A special word of thanks to Robert Gill of the Peppermill and Jim Moloughney Menswear, whose contribution makes the event very special.

The committee and Ballycommon Sponsored Ride would also like to thank local media - the Nenagh Guardian, Tipperary Star and Tipp FM - for their support for the event.

Finally, the A Team thanks the parish of Nenagh for the use of the very special venue and all those members of the community who bought tickets and came to what was another memorable evening in St Mary of the Rosary church.
