Visit planned to Croke Park Museum this Saturday

The President of the Tipperary Association Dublin, Tom Sherlock, has announced a range of activities which will take place over the remaining months of 2023.

He stated that everyone is welcome to participate in the first event – a tour of the Croke Park Museum and Stadium, which will take place on Saturday, September 30. The group will assemble at the back of the Cusack Stand at 11.10am. The tour will commence at 11.30am and last about two hours.

The cost is €10 per head. Those interested in participating are asked to text Pat Ryan (secretary) on 087 6376663.

On Monday, October 23, Willie Nolan, Emeritus Professor of Geography in UCD and historian will give a lecture on ‘Charles J. Kickham – new insights and perspectives’. The lecture will take place in the spiritual home of Tipperary people in Dublin – the Palace Bar, Fleet Street, Dublin commencing at 7.45pm. Members and non-members welcome.

The association has arranged a trip to Coolmore Stud and Fethard in November. Numbers for this trip are confined and booking and payment in advance will be required. Please contact Pat Ryan (087 6376663) for details, which will be issued at a later date.

Finally, Tom Sherlock confirmed that the annual Mass for deceased members and friends of the Association will take place in the Palace Bar on Monday, November 27, at 8pm, to which all are welcome.
