Junior 'C' Hurling Championship

In Group 1, Kiladangan will host Ballina in Puckane with a 3.00pm throw-in this Sunday 24th September whilst Burgess have a bye.

The last group game will take place on Saturday 30th September where Ballina will host Burgess, with Kiladangan having a bye.

In Group 2, both games will throw in at 3.00pm on this Sunday 24th September. Borris-Ileigh will host Lorrha whilst Kilruane MacDonaghs host Silvermines in Cloughjordan.

Watch Centre North Under 17 Hurling Finals

Congratulations to Borris-Ileigh who claimed the North U17 'A' Hurling title on Monday 11th September with a 0-23 to 3-10 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs in Nenagh.

Congratulations to Newport who claimed the 'B' title on the same evening in Portroe where they had a 0-15 to 2-8 victory over Kiladangan.

All four sides were in County quarter final action last Sunday. In the 'A' - Borris-Ileigh were defeated by Durlas Og - 0-14 to 4-13 whilst Kilruane MacDonaghs lost to Holycross Ballycahill - 0-10 to 1-26.

In the 'B' - Newport had a 1-17 to 0-13 win over Upperchurch/Drombane whilst Kiladangan lost to Moycarkey/Borris, 2-12 to 0-23.

took place last Thursday 14th September.

In the 'A' - Borris-Ileigh had a slender 2-13 to 2-12 win over Newport whilst Toomevara had an impressive 3-11 to 1-10 victory over Roscrea.

In the 'B' - Borrisokane defeated Portroe by 0-13 to 0-3 whilst Lorrha Rovers had a 4-15 to 2-7 win over Moneygall. This final will take place next Sunday in Roscrea at 12 noon.

County Under 13 Hurling Finals

Congratulations to Templederry Kenyons and Kilruane MacDonaghs who claimed County Under 13 Hurling titles last Saturday.

Templederry claimed the 'C' title after a comfortable win over Ballingarry with Kenyons captain Joe Fahy accepting the cup after the game.

Kilruane MacDonaghs claimed the 'D' title after defeating Rockwell Rovers. MacDonaghs captain Odhran Goulding accepted the cup after the game.

Hard luck to Kilruane's first team who lost to a strong Cashel King Cormacs side in the 'A' Final.

County Championships

Toomevara and Kiladangan progressed to the semi-final stages of the County Senior Hurling Championship after respective wins over Clonoulty/Rossmore and Holycross/Ballycahill last weekend. Both sides will now face each other in the County semi-final on Sunday 1st October at 3.30pm in Semple Stadium.

Hard luck to Roscrea who were unlucky to lose out to Loughmore/Castleiney in their quarter final.

The draw for the Senior relegation finals was carried out last Sunday with Kilruane MacDonaghs to face Upperchurch/Drombane.

In Premier Intermediate, Burgess lost to Thurles Sarsfields by a single point in their quarter final whilst the clash of Lorrha and Clonakenny was postponed due to a death in the Clonakenny parish. This game will now take place this Saturday 23rd September at 2.30pm in Nenagh.

There were defeats for the North sides in the relegation battle with Sean Treacys defeating Portroe whilst Newport lost to Moyne-Templetouhy. Portroe will now face Newport in the relegation final.

In Intermediate, Moneygall had an eight point victory over north rivals Borrisokane in their quarter final clash. Moneygall will now face Boherlahan-Dualla in the semi-final. Shannon Rovers had a four point extra time win over neighbours Kiladangan in the relegation semi-final. Kiladangan will now face Upperchurch/Drombane in the relegation final.

Ballinahinch progressed to the Junior 'A' County semi-final after a 1-16 to 0-15 win over Lattin Cullen Gaels in Cappawhite on Sunday.

The North champions led 0-8 to 0-7 at half time. Both sides went toe to toe in the third quarter before a goal by Brian Keane proved to be the difference in the end. Keane scored 1-2 but Brendan Ryan was the team’s top scorer on 0-6 including four from frees

Roscrea will play their quarter final this Saturday 23rd September at 3.00pm in The Ragg against Clonoulty/Rossmore.

Turning attention to football - Best of luck to Ballina who face Clonmel Commercials this Saturday 23rd September at 4.00pm in Templemore in the County Senior quarter final. In the County Junior 'A' Football Quarter Finals, Kiladangan face Sean Treacys this Saturday at 4.00pm in Newport whilst Roscrea take on Arravale Rovers on Wednesday 27th September at 8.00pm in Drombane.
