Green light for works at Tipp school

Tipperary’s Government TD, Jackie Cahill, has confirmed that Lissenhall National School has been issued approval to proceed with the construction of an extension through the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

The Fianna Fáil Deputy said: “I am delighted to confirm that Minister for Education, Norma Foley, has given official approval to Lissenhall National School to proceed with this very necessary construction.

“I have been working closely with both staff and the Board of Management to see this project proceed, and we all have been striving for this for a long while. Lissenhall is a very progressive school, and the advancement of a project that reflects that is very welcome by all involved.

“I’d like to thank my colleague, Minister Foley, and her staff for all their work and support, and I would like to commend the hard work of Principal Eamonn Riall, staff, and the Board of Management in getting the project to where it is today.”
