Gardaí are appealing for information regarding the incidents.

Burglaries in Roscrea and Borrisokane

Gardaí in Borrisokane are conducting an investigation into a burglary that occurred close to the town on Sunday last.

The break-in to a house occurred at approximately 4am. The suspects were disturbed and fled the scene, but not before stealing a quantity of tools.

There was a similar incident in Roscrea when a house was entered at Convent Hill sometime between Thursday and Friday of last week. A number of items were stolen from the property.

Sergeant Declan O’ Carroll has issued an appeal to members of the public to make contact if they saw anything suspicious around the time of both incidents.

Separately, a woman walking on the N52 bypass at Nenagh was bitten by a dog on Monday of this week. Following the incident, gardaí have appealed to owners of dogs to keep their animals under control at all times.

In Toomevara, meanwhile, gardaí are investigation an incident where a vehicle was damaged in Chapel Street sometime between Thursday and Friday of last week.

In Roscrea, two males were arrested in the early hours of Sunday and later charged with various counts under the Public Order legislation and for criminal damage arising from incidents that had occurred earlier in the town.
