ABBA tribute band for fundraiser

The Moyne Road/Bellevue Residents Association in Thurles are delighted to announce that four-piece band Waterloo will perform in the Premier Hall, Thurles, on Saturday, June 10. This sensational show takes you back in time with all your ABBA favourites guaranteed. It is a high energy show with replica costumes, dazzling dance moves and plenty of audience participation.

Waterloo will be joined by local Thurles Band Locklin, who recently won the Tipp FM local hero competition. Tickets are priced at €20 and are available now from Thurles Parish Centre, Ryan’s Daughter Restaurant and online from: gr8events/raisetheroof

Please note that tickets should be purchased in advance of the night; doors open at 8pm with the show starting at 8.30pm. All monies raised will be donated to the Thurles Cathedral ‘Raise the Roof’ project.

Tommy Barrett, Chairman of the Residents Association, said: “We are all looking forward to the return of Waterloo to Thurles, they previously played in the Premier Hall in front of a packed audience in 2016. It is fantastic to also have award winning local band Locklin also performing on the night. This is the first music event we have held since 2019 and it will be a great night. I encourage everybody to purchase tickets in advance for what promises to be a fantastic night’s entertainment for the cathedral reroofing project.”
