Major jobs announcement in Mid-West

Limerick City and North Tipperary Fine Gael TD and Minister of State Kieran O’Donnell this morning welcomed another great announcement by Analog Devices International (ADI) at its European regional headquarters in Raheen Business Park here Limerick, with the news that the company is making a milestone investment of €630m, with the creation of an additional 600 jobs on top of the existing 1,500. This comes just a year after the company invested €100m and adding 250 jobs with the establishment of ADI Catalyst at the Limerick facility.

“I very much welcome this morning’s significant and milestone announcement by long-standing Limerick based leading Global US Company Analog Devices (ADI) seeing it making a massive €630 million investment enabling the construction of a new, state-of-the-art,45,000 sq-ft next Generation Semiconductor Research & Development and manufacturing facility at their long established Raheen facility.

“This investment expansion will also see the workforce here at the Limerick facility grow by 600 in high-end jobs, an incredible 40% increase, up to 2,100 from existing 1,500, signalling the company’s clear continued plans to expand in Limerick. Also, there will be many jobs created during the construction phase of the new facility.

“Analogy Devices (ADI) have been ever presence in Limerick for over 46 years, having come here in 1976. Throughout this time the company has provided significant investment and employment in Limerick City and the entire region. Indeed, this large-scale investment comes just a year after the company invested an an additional €100m, adding 250 jobs with the establishment of ADI Catalyst at the Limerick facility.
