Dusk chorus in Templemore

Following a successful dawn chorus event in Derryvella, Littleton, on April 30, the Tipperary Branch of Birdwatch Ireland will host another event in this lovely month of growth, birdsong and flowers with a dusk chorus at Templemore Town Park on Sunday, May 14, at 7pm.

This lovely amenity provides a great variety of plants, trees, insects, birds and mammals. If the birds oblige us with their songs, we hope to hear the the usual garden birds like finches, thrushes as well as willow warblers, chiff chaff and blackcaps. When they are quiet, we’ll look at trees and the plants that grow on the verges.

It’ll be a gentle amble along the path while breathing the fresh air and sharing information and folklore about the birds and plants.

Meet at the car park inside the entrance at 7pm. Wear suitable weather gear and footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Binoculars would be a bonus.

Date: May 14. Time: 7pm. Location: Templemore Town Park.
