With Pike Rovers dropping a couple of points in midweek, Fairview Rangers entered their game with Nenagh in the belief they might catch the leaders.
As results turned out, Pike lost again so Fairview’s win over Nenagh means there is just a point between the top two with three games remaining.
Nenagh had no answers for the Blues on Sunday morning with goals from Shane Duggan (2), Jack Arra and Conor Ellis.

With little but pride at stake Ballynanty took the spoils at home to Nenagh on Thursday.

Premier ‘A’ League
Newport Town and Geraldines, with promotion to the top flight already under their belts, continue to battle it out to see who goes up as champions of the Premier ‘A’ League.
With the destination of the title in the ‘Dines hands thanks to a four-point advantage but Newport have a game in hand, all eyes were on the leaders’ midweek game at Aisling Annacotty and the large Newport attendance were dealt a cruel blow as Conor Madden’s 90th minute goal gave Geraldines a 1-0 win to maintain their advantage into their final game.
Youths
Following their dramatic win in the Youth Division Two Cup final last week, Newport Town followed it up this week by adding the League trophy to their cabinet thanks to a 4-2 win at Granville Rangers.
Conor Brett scored twice with Eoghan Flynn and Adam Power also netting for the Champions.
The Under 17 Division 2 League race will go down to the last game when second placed Newport will host leaders Murroe in a must win game for the home side.
On Thursday, Murroe eased past Geraldines while Newport won 3-1 at Corbally United. Ciaran Carey (2) and Adam Power scored for the Tipperary side.
