5G services in Tipperary

Tipperary is served by three Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) - Eircom Limited ('eir'), Three Ireland (Hutchison) Limited, and Vodafone PLC.

All of these MNOs offer 2G Voice calls, 3G Voice and Data, and 4G Data services; all three MNOs introduced 5G services in 2021.

A recent Economic, Community and Rural Development presentation to the council stated that 5G services to access the Internet using mobile devices with outdoor signal strength levels ranging from 'Good' to 'Fringe' are now available in the following locations in Tipperary – Eircom Limited ('eir') in parts of Borrisokane, Cloughjordan, Templemore, Toomevara, Nenagh, Portroe, Birdhill, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Roscrea, Dundrum, Tipperary, Cahir, Clogheen, Clonmel, Kilsheelan, Carrick-on-Suir;

Three Ireland (Hutchison) Limited - in parts of Clonmel, Fethard, Killenaule, Cashel, Thurles, Borrisoleigh, Nenagh, Borrisokane, Nine-Mile House, Cloughjordan, Springfort Retail Park, Poppy Field Retail Park, the Commons, Keeper Hill and Portroe; Vodafone PLC in parts of Clonmel, Thurles, Nenagh and Cahir only.
