Nenagh has busiest civic amenity centre in Tipp

A total of 18,283 customers used services at Tipperary Co Council's five civic amenity site up to mid-March of this year.

Nenagh's Limerick road site was the busiest in the county with 4,330 visits to avail of the centre's recycling, waste disposal and other services. The Roscrea civic amenity centre had 4,081 visits.

The council has reported that a small number of the services provided to the public at the five sites have seen modest price increases this year. Newsprint is now being charged for under the €3, €5 or €7 car recycling charge platform. The price for a roll of five recycling bags has been increased from €1.50 to €2, and the disposal cost of a bag of household recyclables is gone up 50 cent from €1 to €1.50.

The charge for certified vehicle weighing on the weighbridge for registration/motor tax purposes is now €20.
