41 derelict sites on Tipp register

Tipperary's derelict site register listed 41 properties in the first quarter of this year.

One property was added to the register during 2023 while three were removed. The county council's Environment section engaged with 92 owners in relation to remediating their properties.

There were 15 such properties engaged with in the Nenagh Municipal District, and the same number in Thurles Municipal District. Approximately €26,000 was levied from derelict sites during the period.

Fourteen Section 8(2) notices of intention to add properties to the register were issued by the council during this period.
