‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ comes to Nenagh!

Nenagh Choral Society's production of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' runs from Tuesday to Saturday, April 18-22.

Nenagh Choral Society invites you to join us on a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas.

Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming's children's book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ is one family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find ‘Truly Scrumptious’.

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, played by Clonmel local James O’Donovan, sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima (played by Jayden Guillfoyle and Roisín Galvin). They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst (Pat Kelly) desires the magic car for himself and with the help of his wife, the Baroness (Claire Loughnane), hunts it down.

Along with the delectable Truly Scrumptious (Louise McCormack), Caractacus and the children head to Vulgaria to rescue Grandpa Potts (Greg Starr), who has been kidnapped by the bumbling duo, Boris and Goran (Colin Dillon and Dylan Noonan) and rid the kingdom of its tyrannical, child-hating ruler, The Child Catcher (Paul Shesgreen). With a fantastical flying car, a heartwarming love story, and whole bunch of teamwork, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ is a fun-filled musical for all the family.

Nenagh Choral Society Box office is open daily (11am to 3pm) in the Scouts Hall as well as on the phone line - 086 3122725. Join us on the adventure and book your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment!
