Tipp teens promote positive social change

Pictured at the Young Social Innovators’ nationwide Speak Out Tour during its recent stop-off in Kilkenny city are Adam Ryan (left) and Evan Ryan from The Abbey School in Tipperary town, who spoke out on the topic of ‘For Goodness Sake, Don't Vape’.

They are among 5,000 secondary students from across Ireland taking part in the tour, which is also visiting Limerick, Drogheda, South Dublin and Sligo over the coming weeks, having already travelled to Dublin City and Cork.

The teenagers are speaking out on social issues affecting them and their communities. Among the topics being tackled are mental health, the housing crisis, gender equality, domestic violence, online safety, upcycling, green spaces, loneliness and much more.
