Nenagh Darkness Into Light AGM

The AGM of Nenagh Darkness Into Light (DIL) took place on Tuesday evening last, January 24, in Andy Flynn’s in Nenagh.

The committee elected on the night includes Ryan O’Meara (chairperson), Christine Nevin (vice-chair), Michael Hogan (secretary), Shane Kiely (treasurer), Eavan Carmody Delaney and Amanda McGee (social media officers), Tricia Delaney (safety officer), and Helena O’Sullivan (events organiser).

Speaking following the AGM, the Nenagh DIL Chairperson, Ryan O’Meara said: “It’s a great honour and a huge responsibility to lead this committee as chair for another year, and I am very grateful that the Nenagh DIL team have placed this trust in me again this year.

“Our planning is already well underway and we are working hard to organise another successful 5km walk this year, as we both raise awareness of and vital funds for the life-saving work that Pieta House does.”

DIL is taking place on the morning of May 6 and will again be based at the Scouts Hall in Nenagh. The annual 5km walk/run around the town raises funds for Pieta House, who offer counselling, crisis intervention and mental health support for people affected by suicidal ideation, and they also offer bereavement counselling and supports for families impacted by suicide.
