Other donations included seven boxes full of gifts and sweets that Deirdre and her friend Gemma Kennedy donated to the homeless in Limerick.

Among those who benefited included people in emergency accommodation in Adapt House and Thomond House.

Deirdre wishes to thank all the women, local businesses and her local playschool who donated gifts and held laden boxes for her until she could arrange delivery.

Deirdre and Gemma also did a 12-hour sleepout in Limerick for Novas on Friday last, December 16, raising a total of €1,450.

“This year has been particularly tough on people, and I would like to thank all those who helped out or donated to our ‘Bags of Love’ campaign. Every gift we received helped fill a bag of essentials and little gifts for the homeless,” said Deirdre.
