Wedding bells at Borrisokane Parkrun!

What a fantastic parkrun day it proved to be for one visitor, John Farrell from Dublin!

He completed the Borrisokane Town parkrun last Saturday even though he was getting married at 2pm. While his wife-to-be and the bridal party were getting hair and makeup done, John and some of the groom’s crew ventured to Borrisokane to get in a cheeky 5k run.

Congratulations to local man Ronan Daly on being fastest on the day, best of luck in your half marathon in a few weeks’ time. Well done also to Orla Hayes from Puckane, on her first visit to Borrisokane Town parkrun.

October is parkwalk month so please come along any Saturday at 9.30am and join in with our fantastic parkwalk leaders; this week’s leader was the local walking legend Liz Gleeson.
