Fantastic evening at Nenagh church concert

‘An Evening with the Celtic Tenors’, which was held at St Mary of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, recently was a fantastic evening of entertainment.

A magical music experience was provided by Ned Kelly, In Tune For Life Orchestra, The High Hopes Choir of Waterford and the Celtic Tenors.

The concert was a fundraiser for the A Team. The A-Team Youth Club is a very special initiative for children and teenagers with autism in North Tipperary, which has been set up by parents to create a safe space for their children to be supported and understood.

The intentions of the A-Team Youth Club are to:

• Create a network of communication and connection among the local autistic community.

• Provide a safe space to nurture self-esteem and promote self-expression, self-regulation, self-discovery and self-awareness.

• Learn from each other and become more confident advocates for the autistic community.

• Support the formation of friendships and interest groups in a fun, judgement-free environment.

The group held their first club taster session in May and have already grown to having a membership of over 80 children and teenagers with autism.

Membership is open to all young autistic people in the North Tipperary area. If you are interested in finding out more, email: theateamnorthtipp@gmail.com.
