Concern over Morgan injury

By Shane Brophy

Kilruane MacDonaghs and Tipperary are sweating over the results of a scan this week on the severity of a knee injury sustained by Craig Morgan.

The defender limped out in the first half of their County Senior Hurling Championship defeat to Nenagh Eire Og at The Ragg on Sunday, with concerns over significant knee ligament damage.

He is due to get the results this midweek, but any significant period of time out would be a huge blow to his club who have to beat Clonoulty/Rossmore in their refixed final group stage game in two weeks’ time to reach the knockout stages of the championship.

On top of that, it would be a big blow potentially to Tipperary and new manager Liam Cahill ahead of the 2023 campaign.
