Over four months ago a member of the cycling club, Joe Mullin, was cycling to work and was involved in a collision with a car; severely injured, he was rushed to hospital. Joe was in a coma but thankfully has slowly come through and has started on his road to recovery.

Portumna Cycling Club is raising money to aid Joe's rehabilitation. We are inviting all cycling clubs to include Portumna for their breakfast stop as part of their Sunday cycle on Sunday, August 14, to drop in to the Portumna Community School for tea and cakes and donate towards this worthy cause. All donations will go directly to Joe to aid in his rehabilitation.
