Glitzy business awards to be hosted by Tipp chamber
The Tipperary Business Awards are now open to any Tipperary based business to enter. Following a successful virtual ceremony last year which saw local winners Community Power of Nenagh collect the silverware, the much-anticipated black-tie awards ceremony is back with a bang in 2022.
To celebrate, the County Tipperary Chamber of Commerce-led event is extending its simple online application process for another week.
At no cost, and in less than 10 minutes, your business could be in with the chance to win a prestigious award. And with ten categories to choose from, there are lots of ways for businesses to get involved and showcase their excellence.
The business awards offer a unique opportunity to businesses across the entire county to gain free publicity for their entrepreneurial efforts and excellence in their field.
Provided applicants meet the criteria set out in the award descriptor on the chamber website, they can enter as many categories as they wish. It is important to note that membership of the chamber is not a prerequisite to entry. Also note, membership is not a consideration of the judging panel, this is to ensure the integrity of the competition and that the best business entry, wins each award.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Categories include: Employer of the Year, Workplace Wellbeing Diversity & Inclusion, Outstanding Customer Experience, Digital Transformation, CSR Community Impact, Social Enterprise of the Year, Energy Management Leadership, Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing, Innovation, Agribusiness of the Year and Start Up of the Year.
Completion of a simple online entry form on the County Tipperary Chamber website offers businesses from all across the premier county the opportunity to engage in complimentary promotional and PR activities throughout the campaign.
The extended closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday, July 10. Business owners, managers and staff are encouraged to embrace this incredible opportunity to promote their business, build brand awareness, recruit new customers and retain existing ones through participation in the jam-packed awards programme.
COMMUNITY POWER
Speaking of their experience of the Tipperary Business Awards, Sarah Fogarty of Nenagh based Community Power said: “I cannot encourage businesses in Nenagh and the surrounding areas enough to enter the Tipperary Business Awards, I couldn’t believe how easy it was myself. The fact that it is open to any Tipperary based business is beyond brilliant as it gives every business the chance to shine.
“For the team here at Community Power it gave us a real lift, it was exciting to be part of it all and it definitely helped with raising our sustainability profile nationwide. If you are a Tipperary business looking for a simple way to enhance your brand awareness in 2022 this is a must, so get those entries in and let’s all give it a good rattle for the North of the county this year”
An independent judging panel led by Gillian Barry of TÚS has been appointed to adjudicate the awards on behalf of the Chamber to ensure the integrity of the process and that the very best winners are chosen in each category.
They will thoroughly review all applications, shortlist the finalists in each category and from there they will deliberate and ultimately decide on the winners.
It is important to note that shortlisted finalists and award winners will enjoy ample media exposure and the chance to align their brands with those who are deemed remarkable in their field throughout this process over the course of a six-month campaign.
ROADSHOW IN NORTH TIPP
Chamber CEO, Michelle Aylward, said: “Our roadshow is well and truly underway in north Tipperary. It is our mission to meet as many business owners and managers before the deadline to encourage entry; if we haven’t reached you yet please visit our website countytipperarychamber.com where you will find all the details and can enter in a matter of minutes. We believe this year’s awards will be our best yet and look forward to engaging with businesses in Nenagh and all the surrounding towns and villages throughout the process.
