A Bring and Buy Plant Sale run by An Gáirdín, the Organic and Ecology Centre in Portumna, will take place on this Sunday, May 29, in aid of UNICEF.

The event is being held in Portumna Castle and Garden, starting at 11am. So to all gardeners and gardening enthusiasts, we ask you to get potting and donate plants to this charity event.

Bring your pot plants and flowers on the day and buy your choice of plant by donating to UNICEF (cash transactions only).

Our Craft Gardener, Lynn, will give two guided tours of the wonderful 17th century walled kitchen garden at 2pm and 3.30pm.

The garden is in full bloom at the moment and is a treat to all of the senses. Booking is essential for the garden tour; contact: 0909741658 or 0909742003.

Local musicians have volunteered to perform throughout the afternoon. This should be an entertaining day for all the family. Free admission and all are welcome.
