Coast Guard callout over jet-skis in Ballina

Killaloe Coast Guard unit was tasked at 4.20pm on Monday, May 2, to assist An Garda Síochána with jet-skis that were causing nuisance at the Two-Mile-Gate and at Ballina slipway.

The local gardaí had received complaints about unsafe behaviour and requested the Coast Guard unit to launch a rescue boat and to speak to the individuals involved, who were made aware of the speed limits in the area.

The rescue boat returned to base at 5.30pm.
