Motorists are encountering difficult driving conditions throughout the county.

Difficult driving conditions as Storm Eunice hits landfall

Storm Eunice has made landfall in the southwest of Ireland as a status red wind warning is in place for four counties - Cork, Kerry, Clare and Waterford.

Many parts of Tipperary are experiencing rain and strong winds causing lots of fallen debris on roads.

A Status Orange wind warning is currently in place until 11am this Friday for Tipperary.

Met Eireann weather warnings will be monitored in the event that this will be escalated to a Red weather warning.

Storm Eunice will be a fast-moving storm coming in from the South West coast and moving up across Munster. The storm will be more intense in the south of the county with wind gusts expected to reach close to 75km/hour along the Tipperary/Cork border with gusts in the north of the county expected to reach around 60km/hr. No flooding issues anticipated around the county.
