Tipp's new Little Blue Hero

There were blue skies to greet the newest ‘Little Blue Hero’ in Tipperary Town District today, when six-year-old Roisín Crowe, a pupil at Shronell NS, received her honorary uniform.

The ceremony was attended by A/Superintendent Ciara Lee, Gda Gavin Browne, members from Tipperary Town, members from the Roads Policing Unit and RSU Cahir and of course Roisín’s very excited classmates.

Roisín, who has spina bifida will undergo major surgery in Temple Street Hospital next week where she will be a patient for a considerable period of time. A Garda spokesperson added: "We would ask that you keep Roisín in your thoughts over the next few months until she is back on duty again."
