Estates to be taken in charge

Plans are in train by the Nenagh Municipal District authority to take in charge the Ballina Quay estate in Ballina, members of the authority were told at their September meeting.

Engineer Kieran Ladden said the estate was currently going through a validation process before being taken in charge by the local authority. Talks have also taken place with a developer to take in charge Rose Hill estate in Newport, Mr Ladden revealed.

The elected members were told that Ard Abhainn estate in Ballina and Bellevue in Coolbawn were in the final stage of being taken in charge by the local authority. Progress towards taking in charge were also being made in relation to Townsfields in Cloughjordan and Castle Court in Terryglass.
