Ruby Walsh and her friend Mia Dymnic present funds that Ruby raised to Billy Goulding.

Ruby makes the cut for Billy Goulding appeal!

Carrig National School pupil Ruby Walsh, aged 9, cut her hair off for the Rapunzel Foundation, the charity that makes wigs for children with cancer, and decided to donate funds she raised from the event to a local boy, Billy Goulding, who was left seriously debilitated after contracting a virus.

Ruby did this fundraiser in conjunction with the Christmas Tractor Run in Nenagh last year, getting her hair cut on the night of the event.

Billy’s mum Eileen had the pleasure of cutting Ruby’s hair. Ruby came up with the idea of fundraising for Billy herself.

The money she raised was donated to Billy recently, at a presenation event that had been delayed due to Covid-19.

Ruby would like to thank everyone for all their help in making her fundraiser possible.
